Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, providing outstanding customer service and answering product-related questions with enthusiasm.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately and swiftly.
- Assist with product demos, merchandising, stocking shelves, and maintaining attractive displays to promote sales.
- Handle cash register operations, cash handling, cash drawer management, and ensure accurate retail math calculations.
- Support upselling efforts by suggesting additional products or services to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
- Maintain knowledge of store products and current promotions to inform customers effectively.
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely.
- Supervise or collaborate with team members during busy periods, ensuring smooth store operations and excellent teamwork.
- Conduct inventory checks, stock replenishment, and organize merchandise to ensure a well-stocked store environment.
- Engage in product demos to educate customers about features and benefits, fostering confidence in their purchase decisions.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers in a bilingual environment is a plus.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions, making change, and managing cash drawers accurately.
- Familiarity with POS systems, retail math, merchandising, and stock management is advantageous.
- Proven ability to provide excellent customer service with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette.
- Supervising experience or leadership qualities are a bonus for those interested in growth opportunities within the team.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift merchandise up to 30 lbs, and perform physical tasks throughout shifts comfortably.
