Headstart Warranty Group is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Junior Analyst to support financial, risk, and operational reporting across the organization.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, has strong Excel skills, and is looking to build a career in finance, insurance, or business analytics. The Junior Analyst will work closely with experienced members of the Risk and Finance teams while developing analytical and reporting skills in a fast-paced environment.
Position Overview
The Junior Analyst will support the Risk and Finance teams with monthly insurance premium submissions, financial reporting, operational reporting, and data analysis. This individual will assist with maintaining data accuracy, preparing reports, and providing insights that support business decisions.

Core ResponsibilitiesFinancial & Insurance Reporting
- Assist with preparing monthly insurance premium submissions to carrier partners
- Reconcile premium, production, and claims-related data across multiple systems
- Help ensure the accuracy and completeness of reports provided to insurers and internal stakeholders
- Support financial reporting related to revenue, reserves, and program performance
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Assist in preparing monthly reporting packages for leadership
- Analyze production, revenue, operational, and claims-related data
- Identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement
- Create clear reports and summaries from large datasets
Operational & Risk Support
- Support the Risk and Finance teams in monitoring program performance
- Assist with profitability, operational, and loss ratio reporting
- Help prepare information for audits, compliance reporting, and internal reviews
- Complete ad hoc reporting and analysis as requested
Data Management & Process Improvement
- Clean, validate, and reconcile data from multiple systems
- Build and maintain Excel reports, templates, and dashboards
- Help identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and data quality
- Support ongoing reporting automation and process improvements
Qualifications
- 0–2 years of experience in data analysis, finance, accounting, insurance, or a related field
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Comfortable working with large datasets and detailed information
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
Technical Skill Requirements (Excel)
- Pivot Tables
- XLOOKUP or VLOOKUP
- INDEX/MATCH (preferred)
- SUMIFS and COUNTIFS
- Basic data validation and reconciliation
- Creating reports, charts, and dashboards
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or entry-level experience in finance, accounting, insurance, or analytics
- Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau
- Exposure to Power Query or basic reporting automation
- Experience working with multiple data sources
- Interest in financial reporting, insurance operations, or business analytics
Pay: $70,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
