Duties
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of construction sites, ensuring a safe and organized workspace.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to perform tasks such as concrete mixing, cutting, pouring, and finishing.
- Support the installation of rebar, formwork, and scaffolding according to blueprint specifications and technical drawings.
- Help with concrete work including pouring, finishing, cutting, and pumping to achieve smooth surfaces and structural integrity.
- Carry out masonry tasks such as bricklaying, stucco application, tile laying, and restoration work as needed.
- Follow all construction safety regulations diligently to maintain a secure environment for yourself and your team.
- Interpret construction plans and schematics to assist in accurate material placement and project execution.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working on construction sites or in related trades such as carpentry, masonry, roofing, or renovation is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with construction estimating are advantageous.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans accurately.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, concrete mixers, saws, welding equipment, and heavy machinery operation.
- Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations is essential for maintaining a safe working environment.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights or in confined spaces as required.
- Strong teamwork skills with excellent communication abilities to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors.
