The Digital Health Engagement Specialist will support the services of Program RISE and Boston GLASS, ensuring the program is responding to the needs to community. Program RISE serves the Metrowest area by providing preventive health and social services, including confidential screenings for HIV, STIs, and viral Hepatitis, as well as case management for those living with HIV/AIDS. The Boston GLASS program supports LGBTQIA+ youth of color and their allies in Greater Boston and Framingham, offering a range of services and educational support to other providers and organizations.
Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $51,450 per year. This is a contract-funded position, meaning the pay is contingent on contract funds available at the time of hire. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future.
In this role, you will:
- Supporting the team’s showcase of implementing harm reduction approaches to care, naloxone distribution, case management, peer support, HIV/STI screening, care and navigation, and LGBTQIA+ services.
- Develop technology-based client engagement tools to broaden accessibility to resources with support and approval of JRI IT department.
- Develop and execute client engagement strategies to increase the utilization and adoption digital health tools.
- Create and manage social media content and materials that promote programming vision, mission and goals.
- Assist in the development of marketing campaigns and materials to promote health access, collaborate with JRI marketing team, program staff and division leadership.
- Help to maintain floor presence in the Boston GLASS drop in space and direct clients to appropriate staff and services.
- Help to facilitate Boston GLASS weekly drop in programming through the implementation of support groups and interventions.
- Collaborate with program teams to deliver educational content and resources.
- Collaborate with community agencies and service providers.
- Collaborate with Program leaders and division leadership to connect community requests and improve access to services.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in digital health and client engagement.
- Ensure that work maintains trauma-informed, and harm reduction approaches.
- Remain current and informed regarding HIV/AIDS, STIs, Viral Hepatitis, Overdose prevention, Harm Reduction.
- Work with quality management team and division leadership to gather feedback from users to inform development and enhancements to technology and digital supports.
- Participate in advisory committees, external meetings as assigned.
- Participate in other meetings and planning initiatives across the Agency, and JRI Health Division as assigned.
- Provide services in the office and/or community settings outside of the office (e.g.: homes, schools, hospitals, institutions, other community locations) as defined by the program leadership and supervisor. Any services provided remotely must meet the needs of clients served and be discussed and approved by your supervisor beforehand.
- Continue to develop knowledge and understanding relative to their role about the history, traditions, values, family systems, artistic expressions and linguistic needs of groups served as well as use appropriate methodological approaches, skills and techniques that reflect an understanding of culture.
- Participate in other meetings and planning initiatives across the Agency, and JRI Health Division.
- Adhere to all JRI and JRI Health policies and procedures.
- Participate in all required quality assurance activities.
- Perform other operational task as requested by the Program Director.

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED with one or more years experience in community health or social media/digital management required.
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare, marketing, communications, or a related field preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-directed, motivated and flexible with the ability to work independently on projects and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Bilingual or trilingual preferred (English/Portuguese/Spanish) preferred.
- Availability to work nights and weekends is required.
- Available to work evenings, holidays, weekend shifts as necessary.
- Maintains valid driver’s license.
- Daily access to a working, registered, insured vehicle.
- Background and driving record checks will be performed.
