Responsibilities
- Manage the entire permitting lifecycle, from application submission to approval, ensuring timely compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Interpret technical drawings, building plans, and environmental reports to verify adherence to building codes and environmental laws.
- Coordinate with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders to facilitate permit acquisition and resolve any compliance issues.
- Prepare comprehensive reports documenting permit statuses, compliance findings, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Analyze local building codes, ordinances, and environmental regulations to ensure project plans meet all legal standards.
- Assist in the review of construction plans for building code compliance and environmental considerations.
- Maintain detailed records of permits, inspections, correspondence, and compliance documentation for audit purposes.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction permitting or regulatory compliance management within the construction or development industry.
- Familiarity with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards related to construction safety practices.
- Knowledge of FDA regulations is a plus for projects involving public health considerations.
- Strong understanding of environmental law, local ordinances, and building code analysis to ensure project adherence.
- Experience interpreting technical drawings and conducting building code compliance assessments.
- Excellent report writing skills with the ability to prepare clear and detailed documentation for regulatory submissions.
- Ability to navigate complex permitting processes efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
