We are seeking a caring, dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our compassionate healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Monitor and observe patients’ conditions through patient observation techniques, reporting any changes promptly to nursing staff
- Administer medications and perform basic medical procedures such as vital signs measurement, catheter care, and wound care following medical terminology guidelines and home healthcare regulations
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure compliance with HIPAA and other confidentiality standards
- Support patients during end-of-life care or hospice services with compassion and professionalism while respecting their dignity
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, laundry, cleaning, and other light housekeeping tasks to promote overall well-being
- Communicate effectively with clients and their families to ensure personalized care plans are followed and needs are met
Qualifications
- Valid CNA certification with current state licensure
- Proven experience working with geriatric patients in nursing homes or assisted living environments
- Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and medical documentation procedures
- Knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, memory care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general
- Ability to perform patient transfer methods safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts or patient transfer techniques
- Strong understanding of home health care assistance regulations and hospice or end-of-life care practices
- CPR and First Aid certification required; Basic Life Support (BLS) training preferred
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and assist with patient mobility tasks
