Career Links is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher (Multi-Categorical) to join our educational team in South Carolina. The ideal candidate will be committed to supporting students with diverse learning needs and creating an inclusive, structured, and supportive learning environment that promotes academic and social growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Provide differentiated instruction to students with a range of disabilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to support student success
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust instruction as needed
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with IDEA and South Carolina Department of Education guidelines
- Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Must hold a Valid South Carolina certification in Multi-Categorical Special Education
- Knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, and instructional best practices
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Special Education
- Previous experience working with students with multiple disabilities
- Experience collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
