Animal Care Technician

Zuri Pet Spa and Resort, powered by Best Friends Pet Care, is seeking a dedicated Animal Caregiver to provide exceptional service to our beloved pet guests.
As an Animal Care Technician, you will:
- Protect the health and welfare of our furry guests by following strict animal care policies and procedures.
- Provide tailored care, including feeding, medicating, bathing, exercising, and monitoring the behavior of pet guests to ensure their health and happiness.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by sanitizing pet suites, common areas, and supplies according to our high standards.
- Proactively observe and monitor each pet’s behavior, reporting any concerns to management.
- Assist in activities like supervising group play, serving as the pack leader and encouraging interaction among a diverse group of pets.
- Complete daily checklists, record activities on guest cards, and follow all special instructions
- Engage directly with pet clients by providing updates, report cards, and personalized feedback about their furry family members.
- Handle tasks like organizing, laundering pet bedding and grooming towels, and maintaining proper inventory.
- Execute special daycare and boarding events to enrich the lives of pets in our care.
The ideal candidate:
- Has experience in animal handling and care, whether professionally or through dedicated volunteer work.
- Is compassionate, enthusiastic, and capable of giving pets the love and attention they deserve.
- Thrives in a physical, fast-paced environment (must be comfortable lifting large dogs and supervising group play).
- Is detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in completing tasks.
- Excels at team collaboration and is a confident communicator with both pet parents and team members.

The compensation information below is provided in compliance with applicable state and local pay transparency laws. The hourly pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00 per hour. Actual compensation may vary based on factors including experience, qualifications, schedule availability, geographic location, and business needs. This position may also be eligible for incentives and overtime opportunities, where applicable. Where required by law, employees will be compensated at least the applicable minimum wage for all hours worked.
