Job Summary
SOCO NAPA is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Delivery Driver to join our team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our customers receive the right parts, on time, every time. Drivers are responsible for delivering automotive and heavy-duty truck parts, maintaining strong customer relationships, and supporting overall store operations.If you enjoy being on the road, working independently, and providing exceptional customer service, we'd like to meet you.
Responsibilities
- Deliver automotive, truck, and industrial parts safely and efficiently to customers.
- Verify deliveries for accuracy before leaving the store.
- Collect customer returns and core returns during delivery routes.
- Maintain delivery schedules and meet established delivery time expectations.
- Communicate professionally with customers and store personnel.
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety procedures.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.
- Keep delivery vehicles clean, organized, and presentable.
- Assist with stocking, organizing, and cleaning the store when not making deliveries.
- Handle customer concerns professionally and notify management of any issues.
- Accurately complete delivery paperwork and electronic delivery records.
- Represent SOCO NAPA in a professional manner at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is preferred but not required.
- Ability to use delivery software, smartphones, and GPS systems.
Preferred Skills
- Previous delivery driving experience.
- Automotive, truck parts, or warehouse experience.
- Knowledge of the local area and delivery routes.
- Experience handling customer returns and inventory.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Enter and exit delivery vehicles multiple times throughout the day.
- Stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Work in varying weather conditions.
