Seattle Canine Club is the proud owner of 4 other grooming locations in Seattle which offers possibilities to rotate and work with a variety of professionals.
This position is for an experienced professional dog groomer for our small Delridge facility. This conveniently located shop has a loyal following and one other master groomer. This salon does not include a bather and groomers complete the full service.
The ideal candidate wants to work 3-5 days a week (flexible). Pay is commission based and based on experience.
Job Summary:
We're on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Pet Groomer to join our grooming operations. This role is perfect for someone who excels at dog grooming and is looking to continue grow his/her career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grooming Excellence: Deliver high-quality grooming services, including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling for our furry clientele, ensuring they look and feel their best.
- Client Relationships: Manage your own client bookings and work closely with the daycare/boarding and training department heads to ensure seamless service delivery. Communicate directly with pet owners to understand and meet their pets' needs.
- Compassionate care: We offer a fear-free approach to grooming and are looking to hire like minded professionals.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience (ideal 5) in professional pet grooming.
- Expertise in grooming various breeds and understanding their specific needs.
- Proficient in using grooming tools and equipment, including clippers, shears, brushes, and combs.
- A compassionate approach to animal handling. (Fear Free Certification is encouraged)
- Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to high grooming standards.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift pets as needed.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction with pet owners and team members.
- Any certification is a plus
