Responsibilities
- Assist in all phases of civil litigation, including case intake, discovery, trial preparation, and post-trial procedures
- Manage and organize case files using document management systems such as Clio
- Conduct detailed legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other tools to support case strategy
- Draft, review, and proofread legal documents — including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence — with precision and clarity
- Coordinate with clients, witnesses, experts, and court personnel through clear, professional communication
- Maintain accurate records of case activities, deadlines, and filings in compliance with procedural requirements
- Support attorneys with administrative tasks such as data entry, scheduling depositions, and managing litigation calendars
Skills & Qualifications
- Solid knowledge of civil litigation procedures, ideally in personal injury
- Strong understanding of procedural law and document review
- Skilled in legal drafting, proofreading, and transcription
- Familiarity with legal case management software such as Clio; experience with document management systems highly desirable
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Superior communication skills for interviewing clients and coordinating with multiple stakeholders
- Strong clerical and administrative skills, including filing, data entry, and phone etiquette
Pay: $50,000.00 - $64,000.00 per year
