Maintenance Technician
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Complete daily work orders in a prompt and efficient manner.
· Perform machine maintenance.
· During process line downtime, perform corrective and preventive equipment maintenance per assigned schedule.
· Machine troubleshooting (electrical, mechanical & hydraulic).
· Troubleshoot and perform repairs to equipment that has failed in a manner that minimizes downtime.
· Respond to emergency maintenance requests and ensure rapid resolution to minimize operational impact.
· Machinery installation and/or maintenance.
· Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services.
· Maintain an appropriate inventory of parts on hand to facilitate timely repair of equipment. Report use of all parts so they can be restored.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Capability to work from verbal instructions.
· Ability to use power tools/hand tools.
· Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Ability to effectively read, write and communicate in English.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Minium of 2 years’ experience working in manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift/move and/or push/pull up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand and walk for 8-10 hours per shift in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching to access machinery and perform repairs.
Comfortable working in areas with high noise levels, heat from extrusion processes, and exposure to lubricants, chemical and moving machinery.
Use of one or both hands grasp, move, or assemble objects.
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
