Overview
We are seeking dynamic and energetic Store Managers to lead our Alessio's retail team and drive store success. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and manage all aspects of store performance. Your leadership will inspire your team to achieve sales goals, maintain inventory accuracy, and uphold the highest standards of store presentation. Duties
- Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating performance to foster a motivated and high-performing team
- Manage daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) system management
- Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, merchandising, and pricing strategies to optimize sales and reduce shrinkage
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets while ensuring excellent customer service standards
- Conduct employee orientation sessions, interviews for new hires, and ongoing training to enhance team skills and product knowledge
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure a positive shopping experience for all visitors
- Monitor sales data, prepare reports on store performance, and manage budgets to ensure operational efficiency
Skills
- Strong leadership with proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are highly valued
- Skilled in negotiation, recruiting, employee orientation, and training & development practices
- Proficient in inventory control, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and cash handling procedures
- Adept at managing POS systems, merchandising techniques, pricing strategies, and retail math calculations
- Demonstrated expertise in supervising staff across shifts while maintaining organizational efficiency
- Exceptional customer service skills with phone etiquette and interpersonal abilities to connect with diverse clientele
- Capable of managing marketing initiatives and promotional activities to boost store visibility
- Well-versed in budgeting, sales management, stock replenishment, and inventory management software tools
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced grocery or retail environment
- Experience with wireless sales or specialized product categories is a plus but not required
