Customer Service & Order Coordinator / Graphic Designer
Pride Embroidery & Screen Printing – Logan, Utah
$17.00–$19.00 per hour, depending on experience and ability
Full-time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pride Embroidery & Screen Printing is looking for a highly organized, dependable person who is great with customers and has strong graphic design skills.
This is first and foremost a customer service and order coordination position. You will be one of the main people our customers interact with and will help make sure orders are complete, accurate, and moving through the shop.
Graphic design is also an important part of the role. When customer-service and order responsibilities allow, you will create and prepare artwork for screen printing, embroidery, and other decorated apparel.
We are looking for someone who enjoys both sides of the job: working with people and producing great design work.
Customer Service & Order Coordination
You will:
- Greet and assist walk-in customers
- Answer phones and customer emails
- Help customers navigate the custom apparel and promotional product ordering process
- Help customers choose products, colors, decoration methods, and other options
- Enter orders accurately and completely
- Gather sizes, quantities, artwork, deadlines, decoration locations, and other important order details
- Review orders for missing or conflicting information
- Follow up with customers when details or approvals are still needed
- Keep track of open orders and follow up if necessary
- Communicate with our production and design teams to help keep jobs moving
- Assist customers with order pickup
- Accept payments by card, cash, and check
- Assist with limited accounting and general office responsibilities
A major part of this job is ownership and follow-through.
If an order says 48 shirts but only 46 sizes were supplied, we want the person who notices.
If artwork still needs approval and the deadline is approaching, we want the person who follows up.
You will not be expected to know everything on day one, but you will be expected to pay attention, ask questions, communicate, and care about getting things right.
Graphic Design
When front-office responsibilities allow, you will also:
- Create custom apparel graphics from customer ideas and requests
- Work primarily in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Create clean layouts using typography, logos, color, and other design elements
- Recreate and vectorize customer-supplied artwork
- Clean up poor-quality logos and files
- Make customer-requested revisions
- Prepare artwork for screen printing, embroidery, digital printing, and other decoration methods
- Work with spot colors and production-ready vector files
- Work with digital images and artwork
- Create proofs for customer approval
- Organize artwork and design files
Experience specifically with screen printing or embroidery artwork is a big plus, but we can teach an experienced Illustrator user our production processes.
Maintaining Our Customer-Facing Areas
Because this position works at the front of our shop, you will also help maintain a clean and professional customer environment.
This includes:
- Keeping the apparel showroom clean and organized
- Keeping samples and displays neat and presentable
- Keeping the front desk and customer areas clean
- Maintaining the customer restroom and making sure it stays clean and stocked
Who We’re Looking For
You may be a great fit if you:
- Enjoy working directly with customers
- Are friendly, professional, and confident communicating by phone, email, and in person
- Are extremely organized and detail-oriented
- Naturally follow through on unfinished tasks
- Notice when something doesn’t look right and take action
- Can manage several orders, customers, emails, and projects at once
- Are proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Have a good eye for typography, layout, and color
- Are comfortable switching between customer service and design work throughout the day
- Are dependable and punctual
- Take initiative
- Enjoy being part of a small team
- Take Pride in the quality of your work
This Position Probably Isn’t For You If…
You’re looking for a graphic design job where you can put on headphones and design uninterrupted all day.
Customers come first in this position. Phones ring, people walk in, and priorities change.
If you enjoy working with people, solving problems, and then using your creative skills when the front office is under control, you’ll probably enjoy this job.
