Job Summary
The lead hostess is the very first point of contact for our guests to the restaurant! We are looking for someone who can extend a warm welcome and provide attentive and friendly service to create a positive first impression. As the lead "anchor", you would organize reservations and delegate to seaters. We are a high-volume restaurant and as such, the position can be stressful.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Relations
- Floor Management: Manage reservation systems using Opentable to optimize seating arrangements and wait times
- Coordinate with service teams to accommodate special requests
- Poise: Remain calm and focused during challenging times of service
- Handle guest inquiries, resolve concerns promptly, and maintain excellent guest relations through effective communication skills
- Maintain a polished appearance of the host station and ensure adherence to phone etiquette and hospitality standards
Skills
- Proven experience as a host/hostess or in food service with strong customer service skills
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in supervising or guiding team members in a hospitality setting
- Knowledge of restaurant services operations is a plus, enhancing overall guest experience
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong understanding of hospitality principles, including guest relations, serving etiquette, and phone etiquette
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
