Hourly Rate: $20.00/hr. - $24.00/hr. (DOE – Depending on Experience)

United Salad Co. is one of the area’s largest family owned distributors of fresh produce, grocery and foodservice products across the Pacific Northwest region. We distribute produce to national and independent grocers, restaurants, schools and other institutions from local farmers and growers across the globe.
Main Responsibilities:
- Contributes to company excellence by inspecting incoming and outgoing products on-site by confirming required specifications in compliance with USDA standards.
- Communicate the required adjustments and quality control information to relevant organizational department members.
- Conduct slot checks to ensure product quality meets good standards
- Inspect incoming and returning unacceptable product; completing documentation.
- Maintain a safe work environment by following standards and procedures while complying with legal regulations.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications, attending seminars and watching industry videos.
- Warehouse Assistance – order pulling, operating riding pallet jack and forklift.
- Operating Forklift to pull orders for customers
- Follow temperature abuse shipment guidelines when needed
- Other suites as assigned
Job Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in the produce industry
- Excellent communication skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Proven team player, self-motivated and independent thinker
- Organized and independently productive
- Ability to lift between 40-60 pounds occasionally
