The Opportunity
We have partnered with one of the nation’s premier general contractors—a firm recently ranked among ENR’s Top 10 General Contractors in the United States—to identify a Traveling Senior Superintendent for their advanced technology and cleanroom construction group.
This is a rare chance to lead large, complex, high-profile projects for a nationally recognized builder known for its culture, its people-first reputation, and its dominance in mission-critical and advanced technology work. If you want your name attached to some of the most sophisticated cleanroom and data center projects being built in the country, this is that opportunity.
The Role
As Traveling Senior Superintendent, you will serve as the on-site field leader on major projects—owning the day-to-day execution, safety, quality, schedule, and coordination of trades on complex builds. You will be the person in the room who can command the project, communicate clearly across owners, designers, and subcontractors, and drive a large team toward the finish line.
What You’ll Bring
- Cleanroom construction experience—pharmaceutical environments strongly preferred; semiconductor experience also highly valued.
- 10+ years of superintendent experience with a comparable, reputable general contractor.
- A proven track record leading large, complex projects as the on-site field leader.
- Willingness to begin on a mission-critical data center project (approximately 6–12 months) ahead of cleanroom project work.
- The presence and communication skills to lead—someone who can speak confidently in a room full of people and command respect across every level of a project.
- The ability to speak fluently to cleanroom construction while owning overall project leadership.
Travel & Location
This is a full-time traveling role. You will be on-site full time through the completion of each project’s scope, with anticipated project locations including Texas, Arizona, and North Carolina.
- Home rotation: Travel home every 3–4 weeks per the job schedule.
- Travel & accommodations: Fully covered—GSA per diem plus monthly travel home.
- Schedule: Full-time on-site until the project scope is complete.
Compensation & Benefits
This role offers a highly competitive compensation package designed to reward top-tier field leadership:
- Base salary: $150,000–$180,000, commensurate with experience.
- Car allowance: $10,000 per year.
- Travel covered: GSA per diem and monthly travel home.
- Annual bonus: Strong performance bonus potential—senior superintendents at this firm have historically earned significant annual bonuses well into the six figures.
- Sign-on bonus: Available for the right candidate.
- PTO: Generous paid time off, with additional accrual based on tenure; flexible and negotiable at this level.
Why This Role
You will be building for a firm that sits at the very top of the industry—one whose reputation opens doors for the people who work there. The projects are marquee, the team is elite, and the compensation reflects the caliber of leader they are seeking. For a superintendent who thrives on complexity and wants to travel to where the most important work is happening, this is a defining opportunity.
