Southern Paws is a family-owned pet care company looking for dependable, experienced Pet Sitters/Dog Walkers to provide in-home care for dogs and cats in our local service area.
This is a part-time, year-round position with a flexible schedule and opportunities for additional hours based on availability.
Compensation
- $15.00 per hour base rate
- $20.00 per hour for nights, weekends, and holidays
Responsibilities
- Visit clients' homes to provide care for dogs and cats
- Feed pets according to their individual care instructions
- Provide walks, exercise, playtime, and companionship
- Administer medications when required and follow written care instructions
- Provide clients with professional updates after visits
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for pets during each visit
- Follow all company procedures and client-specific instructions
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Previous experience caring for dogs and/or cats
- Comfortable handling pets with different personalities and temperaments
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable, insured vehicle for traveling between client homes
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Ability to work some weekends and holidays
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working independently in clients' homes
