Warehouse ManagerJob Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on Warehouse Manager to oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, order picking, packing, and shipping. This is not an office-based management position. The successful candidate will spend the majority of their time on the warehouse floor, actively monitoring operations, supporting team members, resolving issues, and ensuring all departments are working efficiently to meet daily goals.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader who is comfortable stepping into any warehouse role when needed, making real-time operational adjustments, and holding team members accountable to performance, quality, and safety standards. This individual will also participate in management meetings and be expected to communicate the needs of the warehouse, identify challenges, acknowledge areas requiring correction, and propose opportunities for improvement.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory control, order picking, packing, and shipping.
- Ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and shipped on time.
- Monitor workflow throughout all warehouse departments and make adjustments as needed to meet business demands.
- Maintain a consistent presence on the warehouse floor and provide hands-on leadership to warehouse staff.
- Step in and assist with receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and other operational duties when necessary.
- Supervise, train, coach, and develop warehouse employees.
- Assign daily responsibilities and monitor productivity to ensure performance goals are met.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shipping errors, and operational concerns.
- Enforce company policies, workplace safety standards, and warehouse procedures.
- Ensure the warehouse remains clean, organized, and operating efficiently.
- Manage warehouse equipment and coordinate maintenance when required.
- Collaborate with other departments to support company objectives and customer needs.
- Attend management meetings and provide updates on warehouse performance, staffing, operational challenges, and business needs.
- Communicate opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Recognize when corrective action is needed and work proactively to address performance or operational issues.
- Lead by example and foster a positive, accountable, team-oriented culture.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse management or supervisory experience required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Experience with inventory management and warehouse operations.
- Ability to identify problems, make decisions quickly, and implement effective solutions.
- Comfortable working on the warehouse floor and performing physical warehouse tasks when needed.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, vendors, and company leadership.
- Forklift experience or certification is a plus.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
