CNC Machine Tool Maintenance Technician
Nikel Precision Group is hiring an experienced CNC Machine Tool Maintenance Technician for our precision manufacturing facility in Saco, Maine.
This position supports advanced CNC and multi-axis equipment, including Mazak, Yasda, and DMG MORI NMV-series machines. We are looking for someone who can independently troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and CNC-control issues and keep critical production equipment running reliably.

What You Will Do
Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain CNC machine tools and related manufacturing equipment
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, coolant, and CNC-control problems
Troubleshoot machine alarms, servo and drive faults, spindle issues, tool changers, rotary axes, sensors, pumps, and related machine components
Respond to equipment breakdowns and safely restore machines to production
Perform machine alignment, calibration, level checks, and accuracy verification within your training and experience
Support machine installations, relocations, upgrades, and commissioning
Work with equipment manufacturers and outside service technicians when specialized support is needed
Maintain accurate maintenance records, service documentation, machine backups, and equipment histories
Identify recurring equipment problems and recommend reliability improvements
Follow lockout/tagout requirements and all company safety procedures
What We Are Looking For
Hands-on CNC machine-tool maintenance and repair experience
Experience troubleshooting multi-axis CNC equipment
Experience with Mazak, Yasda, DMG MORI NMV-series machines, or comparable high-precision CNC equipment
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, coolant, and motion-control systems
Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals
Experience troubleshooting servos, drives, motors, sensors, encoders, pumps, valves, and related components
Ability to independently prioritize repairs and work safely in a production environment
Preferred Experience
Mazak and Mazatrol systems
Yasda high-precision machining centers
DMG MORI NMV-series 5-axis machining centers
5-axis and other multi-axis CNC equipment
Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Heidenhain, or similar CNC controls
Machine-tool alignment, calibration, and accuracy verification
Machine installation, commissioning, or relocation
Preventive and predictive maintenance programs
Technical school, apprenticeship, military technical training, or education in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, electronics, or machine-tool technology
Experience with every machine or control listed above is not required. Strong CNC troubleshooting ability and experience maintaining complex machine tools are more important than familiarity with every specific brand.
Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
