Description:
Performs routine and preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs, and installations of equipment, machinery, and facilities. Responsibilities include addressing minor maintenance needs related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and other building systems.

Replaces lighting; inspects and maintains exit signs and emergency lighting, including bulb and fixture replacement.

Cleans, polishes, and inspects equipment and facilities.

Troubleshoots and repairs plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and other systems.

Assists in implementing preventive maintenance programs to reduce breakdowns and extend system lifespan.

Processes work requests, orders supplies, and maintains maintenance records.

Conducts routine inspections to identify potential facility and equipment issues.

Maintains an inventory of custodial and maintenance supplies and equipment.

Prepares and paints interior and exterior surfaces as needed.

Performs related duties as assigned.

Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues effectively.

Work involves sitting, standing, stooping, and frequently lifting heavy objects. Tasks may require use of ladders and tools requiring dexterity.

Most work is performed indoors, with exposure to dust, grease, and machinery. Safety equipment such as gloves, goggles, and masks is required.

Ability to read, write, and perform basic math at a level typically associated with high school graduation or equivalent.

At least two years of experience in the Maintenance Tech position preferred.

Possession of or ability to obtain a valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle/equipment used.
