Role Snapshot
The Production Supervisor supports the Director of Operations and Production Manager by overseeing day-to-day manufacturing operations on the assigned shift. This role is highly hands-on, spending approximately 50% of the time in direct labor, while also acting as a people leader, safety champion, and quality owner for the area of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities

Execute daily production plans by scheduling work, assigning personnel, and monitoring workflow

Communicate job expectations and monitor performance through coaching, counseling, and training

Supervise and support manufacturing staff to meet production, quality, and safety goals

Spend approximately 50% of time performing direct labor alongside the team

Monitor production processes, equipment, and staffing levels to maintain efficiency

Identify and address safety, health, and environmental hazards
-
Act as quality inspector for assigned areas and enforce quality standards

Ensure materials and supplies are available to support production

Compile and analyze production performance data and shift reports

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Support hiring, onboarding, and development of production team members
Education & Experience Requirements
-
High School diploma or GED required
-
3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment

3+ years of supervisory or lead experience

Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive results

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Commitment to quality and safety standards

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Basic computer skills with Microsoft products

Valid driver’s license required

Ability to work a 2nd shift role (or flexibility for off-shifts)
