Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Water Jet Operator to join our Powder Springs, GA team. In this role, you will operate and maintain a Flow water jet to precisely cut aluminum metal, ensuring high-quality output that meets exact specifications. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC water jet cutting machines, ensuring accurate and efficient production runs
- Interpret detailed blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical specifications to program the water jet equipment
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of CNC water jet machinery to maintain optimal performance
- Conduct quality control inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and tolerances
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and other warehouse equipment, preparing materials for cutting operations
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC water jet cutting machines in a manufacturing or fabrication setting
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages and CAM software tools
- Familiarity with Fanuc controls or similar CNC control systems
- Ability to read blueprints, CAD files, and technical drawings accurately
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in machining, stamping presses, CNC milling machines, lathes, press brake machines, and welding processes
- Competence in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools
- Basic math skills for calculating dimensions and machine settings
- Warehouse experience including materials handling with forklifts is preferred
- Knowledge of manufacturing safety protocols and factory environment standards
- Additional skills such as solidWorks CAD design or familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) are advantageous
- Experience with FLOW waterjet's is a plus!
