STAT Medical Rides is looking for a Dispatcher. This person is the first point of contact in our business. Their day consists of supporting both our clients and our drivers and being the liaison between the two.
A typical day as a Dispatcher at STAT is filled with phone calls, e-mails and scheduling support. Primary responsibilities include:
- Answering incoming calls from our clients to schedule and follow up on rides
- Answering incoming calls and messages from our drivers who need support while out in the field
- Making outbound phone calls for reminder calls each day
- Processing e-mails (which are typically ride requests and quotes)
- Preparing future schedules
Additionally, we require all employees to be trained as a driver so if we are ever in a bind, a person from our office staff can hop in a vehicle and complete a trip. This is rare, but it can happen.
The environment we work in is close-knit. It is a small, family-owned business. There are 5 people that work in our office – the two owners, the person who does the billing, the person who does HR and scheduling, and the dispatcher. Each person has their own office. The dress code is casual.
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 – 5:00 (30 minute lunch break)
