Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage various types of vehicles, including flatbed and tanker trucks.
Duties
- Operate commercial vehicles
- Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper handling and securing of materials.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and cargo transported.
- Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.
- Assist in the maintenance of vehicles by reporting any mechanical issues.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for flatbed and tanker operations.
- Proven experience in truck driving with a strong understanding of route driving principles.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles effectively.
- Experience with heavy haul.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
- Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) as required during loading/unloading processes.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
