Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals according to recipes and food safety standards. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all dishes are prepared with precision and delivered in a timely manner. Duties: - Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and portion sizes - Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients - Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan and execute meal preparation - Assist with meal planning, including creating menus and estimating ingredient quantities - Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients, utensils, and equipment - Monitor food inventory levels and communicate any shortages or needs to the appropriate personnel - Adhere to all health and safety regulations in the kitchen Skills: - Strong knowledge of food safety practices and procedures - Experience working in a fast-paced food industry setting, such as restaurants or catering - Proficient knife skills for chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively - Excellent attention to detail for precise measurement of ingredients - Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members Requirements: - Previous experience as a Cook or similar role preferred - Certification in food handling or culinary arts is a plus - Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) - Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
