Job Summary
Clean MVR and 25+ years old is an absolute requirement due to insurance regulations. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge, with the ability to operate various types of tow trucks, including flatbed models. This role requires excellent driving skills, customer service abilities, and the capacity to manage conflicts effectively while assisting customers in need.
Duties
- Operate tow trucks safely and efficiently to transport vehicles to designated locations.
- Perform automotive diagnostics and basic repairs as necessary during towing operations.
- Load and unload vehicles with care, ensuring minimal damage during the process.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns and inquiries professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of towing services provided, including vehicle condition and any repairs performed.
- Conduct routine inspections of tow truck equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Utilize conflict management skills to resolve any issues that may arise with customers or during towing operations.
- Collaborate with dispatchers and other team members to ensure timely response to calls for service.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial driving. No CDL required.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive repair and diagnostics.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Experience operating flatbed tow trucks is a plus.
- Ability to drive safely under various conditions while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
- Excellent conflict management skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong customer service orientation, demonstrating professionalism in all interactions.
