Basic Function:
Support Accounting department in areas such as accounts payable preparation, billing, general ledger postings, sales tax returns, property tax reconciliation, capital projects, fixed assets, month-end reporting, variable cost accounting, financial audits and tax audits. Responsible for complying with all AIMS HESQ policies & practices including ISO-9001 and ISO-45001. This includes compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. For example, OSHA, EPA, TCEQ, etc.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Processing general ledger entries, accounts receivable, and accounts payable in accordance with G.A.A.P. and the needs of the Partners.
2. Maintain vendor master files, verifying accuracy of invoices, preparing for payment including obtaining approvals and proper routing, providing appropriate account code(s) and input into the system for payment, filing of paperwork, and preparation of annual 1099’s.
3. Assist in the preparation of the plant’s annual operating budget including the plant direct bill budget and the depreciation budget and other long range planning as necessary.
4. Process the accounting for capital projects and prepare and distribute the month end capital project report.
5. Process and verify employee expense reports.
6. Advises management and staff of continuous improvement opportunities within the financial, cost and property tax accounting.
7. Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for all accounts.
8. Download, identify and balance G/L account activity for accrued payables.
9. Calculate and accrue monthly sales and use tax for proper filing with the State of Texas.
10. Prepare month-end journal entries.
11. Create direct bill invoices with back-up and submit to partners for payment.
12. Update and maintain fixed asset system and reports.
13. Prepare and distribute variable cost reports for management.
14. Prepare census reports for various outside entities.
15. Review, code, and assess tax for month-end maintenance bill and maintenance accrual.
16. Provide reports for Risk Management audits
17. Provide assistance to Controller and back-up as needed.
18. Loss control responsibilities which include: conducting inspections and audits related to the Loss Control program as assigned, participating in Hazard Reviews as needed, recommending safety improvements, completion of safety action items as assigned, completing required regulatory training and compliance with all applicable regulations
Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
