Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver with 2 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating various types of trucks. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. The Truck Driver will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of the freight throughout the transportation process.
Duties
- Operate and drive various types of trucks, including manual transmission vehicles.
- Execute route driving to deliver freight to designated locations while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and mileage.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit.
- Ensure that freight is secured properly to prevent damage during transport.
Experience
- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
- Experience as a delivery driver with knowledge of route planning and navigation.
- Ability to operate forklifts and perform loading/unloading tasks efficiently.
