Company Overview
Shreem Capital Management LLC is a hotel investment and management platform overseeing a growing portfolio of full-service and select-service assets under Hilton, Marriott, IHG, and independent brands. The company is entering a period of operational scale-up, including the rollout of an above-property performance and bonus framework and portfolio-wide standardization initiatives. We are seeking a seasoned hospitality operator to elevate day-to-day execution across the portfolio and build the operational infrastructure to support continued growth.
Position Summary
The Senior Vice President of Operations (SVP Operations) is a newly created executive role responsible for the operational performance, brand compliance, and financial results of Shreem Capital's hotel portfolio. This individual will provide senior oversight to the Above-Property Operations Team and, through that team, all property General Managers — driving accountability on GOP performance, guest satisfaction, brand quality scores, and labor management across a multi-brand, multi-market footprint. The SVP will partner directly with the COO on portfolio strategy, capital planning input, and above-property initiatives, and will represent operations in ownership and lender-facing conversations as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Own portfolio-wide operating performance across the property portfolio, including GOP, RevPAR index, labor cost management, and brand quality assurance (QA) scores.
- Provide senior leadership and coaching to the Above-Property Operations Team, ensuring consistent execution of Action Plans, weekly property reviews, and monthly corporate P&L reviews.
- Hold General Managers accountable to performance standards through the Above-Property Operations Team, including GOP profit gates, quarterly bonus framework metrics, and brand-specific QA requirements.
- Partner with the COO on above-property initiatives, including the quarterly bonus framework, SOP standardization, and cross-property capital projects.
- Lead due diligence and operational transition planning for newly acquired or refinanced properties, including pre-opening and repositioning initiatives (e.g., incremental revenue programs, brand conversions).
- Serve as the senior operational point of contact for brand representatives (Hilton, Marriott, IHG) on quality assurance, compliance, and brand standards matters.
- Review and approve property-level staffing models, labor cost structures, and org design in partnership with HR and ownership.
- Oversee vendor and systems strategy at the operations level, including PMS, guest messaging, and business intelligence platforms (InnFlow, Canary, Lighthouse BI, STR).
- Represent Shreem Capital in select ownership, lender, and franchise-related meetings alongside or on behalf of the COO.
- Identify and implement best-practice sharing across the portfolio to close performance gaps between top- and bottom-performing assets.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive hotel operations experience, including multi-property or regional oversight (Area Director, Regional Director of Operations, Above-Property Operations, or equivalent).
- Direct experience managing full-service and select-service hotels across multiple brand families (Hilton, Marriott, IHG, or comparable).
- Demonstrated track record of improving GOP, RevPAR index, and guest satisfaction scores across a multi-property portfolio.
- Strong financial acumen — comfortable owning P&L performance, labor cost management, and budget variance analysis at the portfolio level.
- Substantial food & beverage operations experience, including outlet management, banquet/catering operations, and F&B profitability (cost-to-profit margin management) across full-service properties.
- Direct experience leading new hotel openings and/or major repositionings — including pre-opening planning, staffing ramp-up, systems setup, and brand launch standards.
- Experience building or refining performance management systems (bonus structures, scorecards, KPI frameworks) is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of major brand standards, PMS platforms, and hotel-specific systems (OnQ, Mdash/FSPMS, Concerto, or equivalent).
- Strong people-development skills, with experience managing and developing GMs or multi-unit operators.
- Ability to travel regularly across a multi-state property portfolio.
- Master's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field required.
What Success Looks Like in Year One
- Portfolio-wide GOP and brand QA performance trending upward against baseline, with clear closure of gaps at underperforming properties.
- Full adoption of the above-property bonus framework and Action Plan process across all GMs, with the Above-Property Operations Team operating with greater autonomy and consistency.
- A repeatable operational playbook in place for onboarding newly acquired, refinanced, or repositioned properties.
- Strong, trusted working relationship established with ownership, brand representatives, and key vendor partners.
