POSITION:
Elementary School - Based Family Consultant

REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelors Degree in social work, human services, counseling or closely related field is required. Home visiting experience is preferred. Knowledge of Conscious Discipline, community resource availability/access, and family service background is preferred. Bilinguals (Spanish/English) are encouraged to apply.
DUTIES:

Coordinate the enrollment process by completing required enrollment paperwork and collecting all necessary health and other required documents from families.

Conduct home visits with eligible families and children.

Provide guidance on child development, positive parenting practices, and family goal setting.

Assist families in accessing community resources and services.

Foster strong connections between the child's home and school environments.

Collaborate closely with teachers to support the child's developmental progress, share relevant family updates, and promote consistent messaging between home and school.

Build trusting, respectful relationships with teaching staff to ensure a team approach to supporting each child and family.

Promote self-sufficiency through education, advocacy, and support.

Coordinate with school personnel and community agencies to meet family needs.
SALARY:
Based on years of experience and education.
Classified Salary Schedule - Range 23 (base wage is $21.81/hr)
