Basic Function:
To provide carpentry knowledge/skills on our job sites working for our Project Superintendents, Renovation Supervisors or Repair Supervisors. This position does include frequent travel.
JOB DUTIES:

Follow all safety regulations

Carry out tasks assigned by supervisor.

Work with carpentry crews on the following types of activities:
-
Minor concrete work.
-
Finish carpentry items such as installing casework and trim.
-
Doors and hardware
-
Miscellaneous carpentry items such as temporary enclosures, stairs, railings, etc.

Building layout.
-
General construction activities such as:
-
Use of man lifts and forklifts
-
Hand and power tools
-
Repair work including various repair activities such as hanging drywall, painting, and caulking

Welding (not mandatory)
Position Requirements:
-
Read and comprehend construction drawings
-
Experience with operating forklifts (Preferred)

Communication and teamwork skills
-
Strong work ethic, reliable, punctual

Proven general construction experience with more than 3 years in carpentry.

Travel is expected

Ability to lift heavy objects up to 100 lbs. on a regular basis

Ability to walk and stand for long periods
-
Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather

Ability to perform physical labor
-
High school degree or equivalent; trade school (Preferred)

OSHA 10 (Preferred)

Good organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Must be able to work independently

Must possess a valid driver’s license

Working Relationships:

Reports to the Project Supervisor.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
