Duties
- Safely operate Class A commercial trucks locally, adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
- Load, secure, transport, and unload freight including flatbed, end dump or tanker loads
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, trailers, and cargo to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and records in compliance with logistics cargo handling standards
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
Requirements
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Proven 2 years experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving roles
- Familiarity with flatbeds, tankers, dump trailers preferred
- Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently
- Experience with GPS navigation systems for route planning and navigation accuracy
- Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks required for load & unload operations
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, compliance, and customer service
