Duties
- Perform nightly turn-down service in guest rooms, including making beds, replacing linens, and tidying spaces to create a cozy ambiance.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms thoroughly using appropriate chemical agents and cleaning equipment, ensuring all surfaces are spotless and hygienic.
- Vacuum carpets, sweep floors, and handle floor care tasks to maintain pristine room conditions.
- Handle cleaning supplies and chemical agents safely by adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or bulk supplies while following manual handling safety protocols.
- Restock amenities like towels, toiletries, and beverages to enhance guest comfort.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures in case of incidents or safety concerns, ensuring guest safety at all times.
Requirements
- Prior experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with janitorial practices and hotel standards.
- Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and the use of cleaning equipment including vacuums and floor care tools.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely while maintaining a strong understanding of chemical handling procedures.
- Physical capability for manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting, bending, and prolonged standing or walking during shifts.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude that enhances guest satisfaction.
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management processes and hotel emergency procedures is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
