Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems and schematics to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, powertrains, suspension, steering, brakes, and electrical components.
- Conduct oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, shocks & struts replacements, and other routine maintenance tasks.
- Work on advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) calibration and repairs to ensure vehicle safety features operate correctly.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently to disassemble and reassemble vehicle parts following manufacturer specifications.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair guides to execute repairs precisely.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction with the work performed.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics and electrical systems troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of diesel engine repair, powertrain components, transmissions, and auto body repair techniques.
- Familiarity with ADAS technology, wheel alignment procedures, suspension systems, tire service, shocks & struts replacement.
- Ability to read schematics accurately and work with complex mechanical systems.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and auto estimating software.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose issues efficiently.
- Experience working with GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus; certification in automotive electrical systems is desirable.
