Education/Certification:

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent

Skill in developing computer-generated documents, graphics, and databases; working knowledge of database management.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience

Experience managing projects of various sizes from coordination to implementation

Experience interpreting and implementing policies outlined the in Texas Administrative Code or other state education code, preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
-
Under the guidance of the Talent Development Director, monitor each Odessa Pathway to Teaching participant’s progression and eventual completion of all requirements necessary for state certification. This includes, but is not limited to
-
supporting transcript evaluation, coordinating test approval, tracking test completion, and ensuring school leader and coach feedback is submitted.

issue certificates to Odessa Pathway to Teaching participants upon completion of all program requirements,

Working with Human Resources Directors to confirm all internship assignments and provide documentation needed to complete district hiring processes.

Managing observation data submission in TEA’s systems and coordinating with the Director of Talent Development and Talent Development Coaches to ensure accuracy and timeliness of submission.

Proactively supporting Odessa Pathway to Teaching participants in obtaining licensure by outlining clear processes for navigating state systems and deadlines for submitting applications.

In collaboration with the Director of Talent Development and Talent Development Coaches, orient new Odessa Pathway to Teaching to the requirements for certification and the program components essential to obtaining a teaching license.

Recommend policy or program modifications related to changes in TEA requirements.

Attend TEA trainings and webinars to remain current on teacher certification and internship requirements.

Maintain and submit annual Title II data for federal reporting.

Maintain ASEP and submit annual ASEP data for TEA and state-level reporting.
-
Support the District Mentor Program through data collection, training coordination, and timely payroll submission.

Other support as needed, as outlined by the Talent Development Director.

Provide clerical support to the Director of Talent Development, including but not limited to answering phone calls, opening and processing mail, and scheduling appointments

Manage department budget

Enter requisitions, maintaining physical and computerized records

Serve as Odessa Pathway to Teaching Records Management Liaison, ensuring documents are stored and disposed of properly

Process payroll for Mentor Teachers

Maintain department integrity, confidentiality, and collaboration
-
Keep an inventory log of office supplies, incentives, and other resources managed by the department

Perform other related duties as assigned
