Position Summary: Diesel Mechanic for Shuttle, Minibus & Motorcoach Company. Must be an expert in diagnostics and bus repair/maintenance.
The Mechanic is responsible for executing vehicle work orders for repairing various vehicles and transmission systems for both diesel motorcoaches (Temsa, Vanhool, Cummins, etc), gas engine minibuses, shuttle buses, vans, etc in a timely and efficient manner. This individual must be a team player with a proactive approach to safety, efficiency, accountability, and high-quality work delivery, thereby preventing or minimizing comeback jobs.
Qualifications

7+ years of hands-on experience in motorcoach repair and maintenance. (Transportation industry preferred).

Expert in bus diagnostics.

Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

CDL

Vehicle maintenance experience required; diesel maintenance preferred

Knowledge of shop equipment

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle problems and performs repairs on our fleet which are primarily motor coaches, shuttle buses, minibuses, etc.

Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components.

Perform routine vehicle maintenance on buses including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.

Keep accurate records of all maintenance repairs performed.

Perform quality inspections prior to returning the vehicle to inventory.

Provide daily repair timeline updates to Shop Foreman/Manager.

Ensure compliance with safety, maintenance regulations, shop cleanliness and overall shop SOPs.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

Work is primarily performed in a shop/garage environment.
-
Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in varied weather conditions.

Occasional after-hours or weekend work may be required for emergency repairs.
