Position: IV Pharmacy Technician

Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for IV order entry and prepare sterile compounding under the supervisions of pharmacists at a busy long term care pharmacy
- Maintain compliance and familiarity with UnitedRx Infusion Policies and Procedures, all State and Federal Laws and USP797
- Understand and utilize knowledge of proper cleanroom gowning, maintenance and cleaning procedures to ensure safety and prevent any contamination
- Able to communicate closely with nurses to coordinate and provide comprehensive care to
- patients regarding IV medications and supplies
- Responsible for daily and monthly IV room cleaning in accordance to USP 797
- Assemble and prepare correctly all components necessary to produce sterile products or other
- extemporaneously compounded preparations
- Responsible to meet delivery time for many IV orders for remote facilities
- Operates and maintains pharmacy related equipment
- Performs additional assigned responsibilities as necessary
Shift:
- Full time Monday-Friday evening shift (8a-430p), holidays and occasional weekends a must

Requirements/Qualifications/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Pharmacy Technician Certification, valid Kansas license in good standing
- Self-motivated and strong leadership skills
- Effective communication skills and a strong sense of teamwork
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously and at times a flexible schedule based on the needs of the Pharmacy
- 2 years previous IV technician with Infusion pharmacy/hospital (mixing IV) training required
