More Than a School — A Ministry
At Crosspoint Academy, our purpose is to carry out the vision of people connecting people to Christ through relationships and outreach ministry. We believe every classroom is an opportunity to share God's love and build strong foundations for young learners and their families.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Days and times vary Monday-Friday between 8:15 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. (classroom hours are 9:00 a.m.- 2:30 p.m., any additional hours scheduled include our extended care program)
- Deliver quality educational programs that comply with the mission of Crosspoint Academy and VPK requirements.
- Assess children’s spiritual and educational needs and deliver appropriate teaching interventions to satisfy that need.
- Maintain a classroom environment that promotes good health, safety and cleanliness.
- Develop a nurturing childcare environment for 11 children where learning can take place, following daily classroom schedules and lesson plans.
- Attend training for First Aid, CPR, DCF In-service Hours, FCCPC, and VPK training as required by state law.

- A self-starter who can multi-task and prioritize workload.
- Strong relational skills. Amiable personality.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Ability to get along with people of all backgrounds, beliefs, and personality styles.
- Ability to work as a team with Crosspoint Kids ministry staff and always portray the church, staff, and ministry in the most positive light in the church as well as in the community.
- Ability to write age appropriate lesson plans that align with our pre- approved curriculum, Frog Street and Growing with God Bible curriculum.
- Must hold current VPK staff credentials (CDA, FCCPC, or Early Childhood Education degree).
