Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain commercial roofing systems including single-ply membrane roofing, TPO roofing, and other specialized materials.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately execute roofing plans.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and install roofing components efficiently.
- Conduct roof inspections to identify damage or wear; perform repairs such as caulking, tile laying, or siding installation as needed.
- Follow strict safety protocols including the use of construction safety harnesses, ladder use procedures, and adherence to construction workplace safety regulations.
- Assist with the installation of related exterior elements such as siding, stucco, trim carpentry, masonry, or metal stud framing.
- Lift heavy materials safely during outdoor work while maintaining proper form and technique to prevent injury.
Requirements
- Proven construction experience with a focus on roofing or exterior building systems; familiarity with roofing repair and restoration is preferred.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to interpret construction plans and blueprints accurately.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, ladders, and heavy lifting equipment in outdoor environments.
- Understanding of construction safety harnesses, ladder use guidelines, and adherence to all construction workplace safety regulations.
- Experience working on commercial sites with exposure to schematics, technical drawings, and fabrication instructions.
- Ability to perform tasks such as caulking, tile laying, siding installation, metal roofing fabrication, and masonry work when required.
- Strong physical stamina for outdoor work in varying weather conditions; capable of lifting heavy materials safely.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a commitment to safety protocol adherence at all times.
