Our Cooks are cross-trained with the dietary aide, therefore they can manage both sides of the line. This is a physical position, with all time spent on feet.
Hours are 530a-530p with every other weekend off.
Key Responsibilities
Meal Preparation: Cook large-quantity meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) following standardized recipes and menus.
Special Diets: Modify textures and ingredients for residents needing diabetic, low-sodium, mechanical soft, or pureed diets.
Food Safety & Sanitation: Follow health department codes, manage proper food storage temperatures, and keep work areas clean.
Inventory & Ordering: Check food deliveries, track stock levels, and report needed kitchen supplies.
Team Collaboration: Work with dietary aides, nursing staff, and food service directors to ensure proper resident nutrition
