Lead Carpenter – Full-Time Position
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Lead Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong carpentry skills, leadership ability, and the capability to work independently while overseeing smaller crews when needed.
This is a full-time, field-based position that involves traveling to multiple condominium communities throughout the day to perform a wide range of carpentry and exterior maintenance projects. The ideal candidate must have their own reliable truck capable of carrying a ladder and their own professional tools.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of general carpentry work, including repairs, replacements, inspections, and new installations.
- Inspect properties for issues such as leaks, rot, water damage, and other maintenance concerns.
- Complete projects involving trim, framing, siding repairs, decks, railings, doors, windows, and other exterior and interior carpentry work.
- Travel between multiple condominium communities to complete scheduled maintenance and repair projects.
- Act as the Lead Carpenter, directing and assisting other crew members when necessary.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality.
- Communicate with management regarding project progress, materials needed, and any issues encountered on-site.
- Follow project instructions, schedules, and timelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Represent the company professionally while working in residential communities.
Requirements
- Several years of proven carpentry experience.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and professional tools.
- Previous experience leading or supervising a small crew preferred.
- Ability to work independently and problem-solve in the field.
- Must have a reliable truck/vehicle capable of carrying a ladder and materials.
- Must have your own professional carpentry tools.
- Comfortable traveling between multiple condominium communities and job sites.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift materials, climb ladders, and perform physical work.
- Professional communication skills and a positive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in property maintenance, residential construction, or condominium communities.
- Ability to estimate materials and assist with project planning.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Experience coordinating and directing smaller crews.
