Highland Forest Daycare and Early Learning Center is a nature-inspired, educational preschool serving students ages 6 weeks - 12 years old.
Highland Forest Daycare and Early Learning Center is seeking a nurturing and attentive teacher to join our team. The teacher will be responsible for the daily care and instruction of young children ages 18 months - 2 years old. The ideal candidate should have a passion for children, ensuring their safety, engaging in developmentally appropriate activities, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive and high-quality care to children, ensuring their safety and well-being
- Follow daily schedules and routines.
- Engage in learning activities that support children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Assist with toilet training and diaper changes
- Maintain a clean and organized environment, including sanitizing toys and equipment.
- Lesson plan daily activities to meet learning objetives
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily activities, development, and any concerns that may arise.
- Follow all daycare policies and procedures, including health and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- MUST be at least 18 years old
- MUST have a high school diploma or GED (additional education or certifications in early childhood education or a related field is a plus.)
- MUST pass a background check
- Experience working with children in a daycare, church, after-school program, nursery, or other childcare setting is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of child development and appropriate caregiving practices.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
- Ability to lift, bend, kneel, and stoop as needed.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with parents and coworkers.
- CDA is preferred but not required
