The Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) Erector Helper assists in the assembly and installation of steel structures and components under the supervision of a PEMB Erector or Foreman. This role is ideal for individuals developing their construction skills and seeking to learn steel erection techniques while maintaining a strong focus on safety, teamwork, and quality workmanship.

Assist in the installation of structural steel columns, rafters, girts, purlins, insulation, wall and roof sheeting, and trim.

Support Erectors in rigging and signaling during crane operations.

Retrieve, stage, and organize materials and tools for daily tasks.

Operate hand and power tools safely under supervision.

Drill holes, align parts, and install bolts or fasteners as directed.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Help load and unload trucks and move materials around the job site.

Follow all safety policies and participate in daily safety meetings.

Work cooperatively with crew members to support efficient project completion.

Perform all duties in compliance with company policies and a drug-free workplace.

Travel to various job sites as required.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Prior construction or metal building experience preferred but not required.

Ability to learn and follow instructions accurately.

Basic knowledge of hand and power tool operation.

Must have legal authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel.

Must supply and maintain basic hand tools once trained.

Primarily outdoor work on active construction sites. Exposure to weather, heights, heavy equipment, and loud noise. Regular travel to project sites required.
