Make a significant impact supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing as part of a dedicated educational team! This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to work with students across five campuses, utilizing either onsite or virtual service delivery models to ensure accessibility and continuity of services. Your expertise will support students in building the communication skills and confidence they need to succeed academically and socially.
Key Qualifications:
- Certification and credentials to teach Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) students
- Prior experience providing DHH services in a school setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of instructional strategies and assistive technology for DHH learners
- Comfortable adapting lessons to varied age groups and ability levels
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
- Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload across multiple locations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective instruction tailored to the needs of Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service professionals, and administrators
- Develop and implement IEPs, providing appropriate modifications and accommodations
- Monitor student progress, maintaining detailed records and reporting outcomes
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and IEP reviews as required
- Leverage technology to support learning, especially when providing virtual services
