Job Overview
As a Medical Assistant, you'll be helping patients with a variety of office and clinical tasks under the supervision of our doctors. Our ideal candidate will have the ability to multitask effectively in a busy office environment, strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize a variety of projects. The right person for this position will enjoy working as part of a team, and will be dedicated and empathetic when interacting with patients.
Responsibilities
- Patient intake and prepping exam rooms.
- Assist Physicians with office surgical procedures, including wound care, injections, and basic X-ray operations
- Coordinating referrals to other physicians /specialists.
- Process laboratory requisitions and prescriptions.
- Following up on patient calls and faxes.
- Build positive relationships with co-workers and patients.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accurate documentation of patient information, medical history, and treatment plans
- Support patient intake processes by verifying insurance details, updating medical records, and coordinating appointment scheduling
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
