Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily activities that promote childhood development and early learning standards
- Support classroom management by engaging with children during play, circle time, and structured lessons
- Provide attentive care to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Adapt to different classroom environments, helping with transitions and routine tasks as needed
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and mandated reporting laws
- Collaborate with team members to create an inclusive, supportive atmosphere for children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or additional caregiving support
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials and supplies to foster a productive learning environment
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with young children in settings such as daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or similar roles
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid and pediatric first aid preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies
- Ability to work effectively with children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers
- Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and protection
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude that encourages curiosity and confidence in children
