Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early literacy, numeracy, social skills, and physical development in toddlers
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management
- Engage children through interactive activities, storytelling, music, movement, and hands-on learning experiences
- Monitor each child's developmental progress using standardized assessments and tailor activities to meet individual needs
- Collaborate with families to share insights on child welfare, development milestones, and classroom activities
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment by adhering to health and safety regulations specific to toddler care
- Incorporate early intervention strategies for children with special education needs or developmental delays
- Manage classroom routines including meal times, nap schedules, diapering, and transitions smoothly and efficiently
Requirements
- Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques for toddlers
- Experience with Montessori methods or other educational philosophies such as preschool or early intervention programs is a plus
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, colleagues, and children
- Ability to implement literacy education strategies and support language development in young learners
- Knowledge of childcare safety standards, child welfare practices, and classroom experience with toddler care routines
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is required; additional certifications in special education or early intervention are advantageous
