KEY HOLDER – GREENWICH
Shoppe Balloo is excited to open its second location in Greenwich, Connecticut.
Founded in New York City's West Village, Shoppe Balloo was created to offer a thoughtfully curated shopping experience that reflects the style, vibrancy, and spirit of modern families. We offer a carefully selected assortment of children's clothing, gifts, accessories, and essentials for newborns through age six.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused Key Holder to join our founding Greenwich team. This is an exciting opportunity to help launch a new store and play an important role in creating the exceptional customer experience that defines Shoppe Balloo.
As a Key Holder, you will serve as a leader on the sales floor, helping deliver outstanding customer service while supporting daily store operations, merchandising, inventory management, e-commerce fulfillment, and the continued growth of our Greenwich business. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, thrives in a collaborative environment, and doesn't mind wearing many hats.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Customer Experience & Sales
- Deliver an exceptional and personalized shopping experience for every customer
- Build lasting relationships with customers and encourage repeat business
- Demonstrate strong product knowledge and confidently recommend merchandise to maximize sales
- Process transactions accurately using Shopify POS
- Handle customer questions and concerns professionally and thoughtfully
- Support store sales goals through outstanding customer service and client engagement
- Store Operations, Inventory & Brand Support
- Perform store opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and store security
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor throughout the day
- Straighten, replenish, and merchandise products to ensure the store is always presentation-ready
- Receive, process, and organize incoming inventory
- Assist with stockroom organization and inventory management
- Accurately fulfill and pack online orders in a timely manner
- Assist with product uploads, inventory updates, and merchandising within Shopify
- Support inventory preparation for both the retail store and e-commerce website
- Capture in-store content, new arrivals, styling inspiration, and behind-the-scenes moments for Shoppe Balloo's social media channels
- Assist with social media content creation and website merchandising to ensure products and collections remain current
- Support community events, in-store activations, and other initiatives that introduce Shoppe Balloo to Greenwich families
- Support special projects and operational needs as the business continues to grow
QUALIFICATIONS
2–4 years of retail experience, preferably in boutique, luxury, specialty, or children's retail
Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service and drive sales
Experience opening and closing a retail store preferred
Comfortable using Shopify POS, email, Microsoft Office, and retail technology platforms
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
Experience with Shopify is preferred
Familiarity with Instagram and basic social media content creation is a plus
Experience with Canva or similar design tools is a plus
POSITION DETAILS
Part-Time Schedule:
3-4 days per week, including Saturdays
One weekend off per month
Schedule flexibility required based on business needs, including store opening activities, special events, and holiday periods

Compensation & Benefits
Starting pay: $26 per hour
Eligible for sales commission program
