Bandera ISD is seeking qualified School Nurse Substitutes to provide healthcare services to our students in the absence of the regular school nurses.
Bandera ISD has 4 campuses (2-Elem, 1-MS, 1-HS)
Bandera ISD is a 4-Day instructional district (Mon - Thurs)
Open to Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN)
Start Date: Immediate
Responsibilities:
- Provide first aid to students and staff as needed
- Administer medication to students according to physician's orders
- Maintain accurate medical records for all students
- Communicate with parents, teachers, and administrators regarding students' health concerns
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to promote student health and wellness
- Follow state and federal regulations related to healthcare in schools
Requirements:
- Current license as a registered nurse in the state of Texas
- Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
- Experience working with children and adolescents preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound judgments
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to healthcare in schools
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of student health information
